Our History

This legacy was founded when Herbert Henry Geen and Thomas Richards, opened the first branch of Geen & Richards in President Street, Johannesburg, in 1909.

The distinctive furniture retailer has since been operating for over 100 years and has been providing its customers with quality and exclusive household furniture. Beautifully handcrafted with perfectly created joints and intricately-carved detail, this was the type of furniture that heirlooms were made of.

Now operating through stores countrywide, and with plans to open additional new stores this year, the brand is well-positioned to kick-start the next hundred years of personal assistance to customers. New-look stores have been designed to allow maximum flexibility in an ever-changing retail environment while still emphasizing eternal elegance.
